Before that ever-expensive heating season kicks in, consider taking these steps to shave the size of the numbers on those energy bills.
Need an incentive to convert to more energy-efficient options in your company’s facility and manufacturing processes? How about these:
- You can save up to 30% by switching to energy-saving devices.
- The biggest wins come from changes to lighting, which accounts for 19% of the entire world’s energy use.
Those stats come courtesy of a new energy-efficient product buying guide from Gexpro.
So is it all a matter of switching to those funny-shaped light bulbs? Hardly.
But there are a variety of fronts you can tackle — some relatively painlessly — to “green up” your building and save a lot of green in the process.
Make sure that your organization’s facility manner is considering all of your company’s options in each of these areas:
- lighting
- occupancy sensors
- motors and drives, and
- metering.
Maybe you can’t go whole hog. But by implementing some of these changes a little at a time, the savings will add up. With budget time here at most companies, now’s a good time to see if some of these strategies can’t make the list.
