If your traveling workers have major problems with the new airport screeners, you may want to introduce them to this new — and very unusual — product.
Rocky Flats Gear manufactures a special type of underwear that uses powdered metal to protect people’s privacy when they go through security or medical screenings.
Because the garment’s inserts are very thin and conform to an individual’s contours, it’s extremely difficult for people to hide anything beneath them. Plus, inventor Jeff Buske says the underwear’s mix of tungsten and other metals won’t set off metal detectors.
The underwear comes in two designs: A fig-leaf design for men, and the shape of clasped hands in the women’s design.
Despite Buske’s claim that his product will help people get through airport screeners with their dignity intact, it’s yet to be seen whether the underwear will just lead to more invasive searches by TSA officials.
