The situation in Haiti has moved businesses of all stripes (and dress codes) to help out.

Marilyn’s on Monroe in Toledo, OH, is a strip club that cares. Recently, the establishment raised $1,000 for Haitian earthquake relief through a charity drive dubbed, “Lap dances for Haiti.”

The general manager of Marilyn’s on Monroe, Kenny Soprano, had been looking for a charity fundraiser to improve its image even before the quake affected Haiti. According to the altruistic-spirited  Soprano, “You don’t hear much about strip clubs giving back to the community.”

Instead of rounding up scores of dollar bills, Marilyn’s donated the $10 cover charges it collected on a Saturday night to ISOH/IMPACT, an organization that provides clothing and food to Haiti — as well as other countries where families have been ravaged by poverty and natural disaster.

Linda Greene, the CEO of ISOH/IMPACT, said she didn’t have a problem with where the money came from and says her group appreciates any donations to help Haiti.

So, for any legitimate businesses — or even nefarious underground crime rings — looking to donate to ISOH/IMPACT, all necessary information can be found here.
