A new fiscal year’s almost here, and the General Service Administration has some news for your A/P department.
Lodging per diem rates will go up.
Starting Oct. 1, the rates for the 48 continental states will be:
- $91/day for lodging (up from $89/day), and
- $51/day for meals and incidental expenses (unchanged from 2016).
Locations to watch
Keeping track of cities with new rates in 2017 won’t be hard.
Here’s why: There will be no new non-standard areas (NSAs) – places with higher, unique rates – for 2017.
However, three locations have been taken off the NSA list, meaning they’ll be subject to the regular per diem rates.
Those locations are:
- Lexington Park/Leonardtown/ Lusby, MD
- New Bern, NC, and
- Minot, ND.
