There are plenty of people that believe things are starting to get better. Unfortunately, most managers don’t fall into this category.
One key reason: Managers are more stressed at work. In fact, 30% of managers say they’re more stressed at work today than they were a year ago — according to a recent survey by OfficeTeam.
And many feel it’ll get worse before it gets better — with 28% of managers expecting their anxiety to increase in the next year.
The survey also found that 28% of managers said their stress-levels were about the same as they were a year ago, and 11% said they were lower.
So what’s fueling this increased anxiety? After asking workers to take on increased workloads — often without any additional compensation — for months, managers are likely struggling to keep employees motivated and productive.
