If your firm relies heavily on IT to get things done, you may want to take some steps right now to ensure your techies are happy.
Why? IT workers are more likely than other employees to search out greener pastures this year, according to new research.
In fact, a recent ComputerWorld.com survey found that IT workers are 2.5 times more likely to jump ship than the average employee. Worse, only 4% of Tech workers considered themselves “highly engaged.”
What can employers do to get these valuable workers to stay put? A new Robert Half Technology study found the number one priority of over half of CIOs is retaining IT staffers. And they’re not just offering huge pay increases to do it.
One in five says their plan to retain tech workers is offering increased training this year.
