Everyone’s heard of Expedia, Orbitz and Travelocity. But some lesser-known sites may get you even better deals on business travel.
Your company probably encourages employees to scour the Web before they book that next business trip.
To do just that, you might want to encourage them to bookmark these:
- www.kayak.com: This site pulls together data from 140 different sites to find the best prices, so it’s a true time-saver. Note: www.sidestep.com was bought by Kayak, so your results will be the same.
- www.yapta.com: Not sure when to pull the trigger and lock in a price, especially these days? Send employees here. This site continues to track fare prices after you book and if the price goes down, it can help you secure refund credits.
- http://farecast.live.com/: If you really want employees to be smarter about when they pick a price, you might send them this way. This site makes predictions when the price on any given flight will be lowest, so you can be confident cost-efficient calls are being made.
