The New Year may still be several months away. But some new research is predicting how much more workers are likely to have in their wallets next year.
U.S. workers can look forward to a median pay increase of 3% next year, based on the findings in a recent report by Hay Group.
That 3% pay bump is fairly consistent across all industries, according to the report.
That percentage applies to execs, middle management, supervisory and clerical positions.
A separate WorldAtWork report — “WorldatWork 2011-2012 Salary Budget Survey” — was consistent with the Hay Group’s findings. According to the WorldatWork report, employers projected salary budget increases for 2012 were about 2.9% on average.
