Countless workers have taken out their frustrations on faulty vending machines. But a new type of vending machine is specifically designed to help people work out their anger.
This unique vending machine/interactive sculpture was designed by Chinese artists Ronnie Yarisal and Katja Kublitz for people who just need to blow off some steam.
The vending machine is chock full of breakable items like plates and glasses. Stressed-out individuals simply add coins to the coin slot, select an item for breaking, retrieve it from bin (not sure how it doesn’t break in the fall) and destroy said item in any way they see fit.
While the breakable vending machine may seem like a joke, it does have roots in science — albeit unofficial science. The concept falls under destruction therapy, where practitioners learn to get in touch with their feelings by breaking and destroying things.
Seems like these vending machines would get a much better reception from employees than the healthy snack dispensers more companies are adding to their lunchrooms these days.
