When it comes to billing, paper invoices are becoming obsolete.
That’s the word from a recent survey by Striata.
In the survey, employers were asked, “How do customers most prefer to receive their bills and statements?” Only 10% of customers said they prefer paper invoices.
The top three methods in which customers prefer to receive bills and statements:
- As a simple attachment to an email (39%)
- Within company’s Internet banking (31%), and
- At a third-party website (15%).
These findings should come as good news to companies who are considering moving away from paper — but aren’t ready to commit to any major process changes yet. E-mailing your invoices as attachments is a relatively simple and painless way to leave paper behind.
