Here’s a man who needed to get to work on time so badly, he was actually willing to risk his own life to do it.
That man is Carlos Flores. Mr. Flores is a New York grocery clerk and pragmatist whose heroic actions saved an injured subway passenger’s life recently.
According to news reports, when a subway rider Thomas Grant passed out and landed on live subway tracks, Flores jumped onto the tracks and hauled him to safety.
When asked about his motivation in saving Grant’s life, Flores told the New York Daily News: “I was thinking, if he gets hit I can’t go to work. It’s Sunday. I can’t miss out. It’s a time-and-a-half day.”
