When this criminal mastermind attempted to hold up a doughnut shop, the last thing he wanted to hear was: “Don’t I recognize your stutter?”
Former Dunkin’ Donuts employee Frederick Brantley shouldn’t have bothered donning a black ski mask before robbing his old job. When he pulled out a knife and ordered the clerk to hand him the money in the cash register, the worker instantly recognized Brantley’s stuttering voice.
The employee waited until Brantley had left the store before calling 911 and giving police a full description. Authorities caught up with Brantley a few blocks away — with the $300 still wrapped in a plastic Dunkin’ Donuts bag.
In case the evidence isn’t incriminating enough, the police also obtained a copy of the store’s surveillance tape.
