Certain actions such as, say, using a customer’s yard as a public toilet would automatically cost an employee his or her job at most organizations. But the U.S. Post Office is not like most organizations.
In southeast Oregon, resident Don Derfler caught a mailman “defecating” in his neighbor’s yard. Derfler said he noticed the mailman acting odd and got his camera out in time to capture the nefarious postal worker squatting in the act.
The USPS immediately placed the mailman on unpaid leave. However, after a postal service investigation, it was decided that the mailman could keep his job — but he’ll be transferred to another route.
Hopefully, the new route will be in a neighborhood without any yards.
